Has anyone else found their crown difficult to screw in? The updated gen-spec crown has a lower height and appears to have less thread available, so I've been having trouble screwing mine in the first few tries. Haven't had this issue on any of my other Clean or VSF Rolexes.

Yes I noticed this with the recent CF explorers I've had. It's annoying. But like the above 2 comments, anticlockwise until you feel the threads line up, and then clockwise to screw it down.

I do this subconsciously now with all my reps. It all Started with owning an omega lol. Notorious for crown stripping/cross threading.
