I ordered a Clean Explorer 124270 36mm 904L Steel Clean 1:1 Best Edition Black Dial on SS Bracelet VR3230 that is the latest greatest model. I'm buying it through Puretime mostly because I could not find it anywhere else I trusted. Marie, who has been very prompt said two weeks until they get it and 2-4 weeks for QC. This Clean model Explorer has me thinking these have come a long ways and so have the prices of some of these super c's. Wow. Trust me I researched for a week none stop, studied all the newer Asian clones... 3235 and 3230 etc movements to get familiar with whats going on in the Rep world. I like reps that are actually obtainable in real life, look smart, not too flashy and are serviceable. So I ordered the piece on September 9 and was told I would not receive a motopay invoice unless the watch was available. I paid through motopay the next day after receiving the invoice which was not entirely clear how much motopay charged for the transaction (roughly 60usd). I paid the full amount. The next day they tell me it has been back ordered. I had a feeling. The watch was just released a few weeks before so I figured it might be sold out from the factory. I'll wait for the next batch. This is not my first watch rodeo. Silence for several weeks. I emailed 4 weeks later. Still back ordered. 3 weeks later so 7 weeks total I emailed again. Should be within a few more days they said. About 7 days later after that I received the QC pictured to my amazement. You really can't see many fine details besides alignment in the QC pics. The timegrapher is a nice touch however I would rather see a video of every angle of the watch in the timegrapher. I approved the QC of course after all this time. So The tracking is hilarious on these shipments. Nov. 2 it was shipped. It was updated 9 times over 8 days to Jamaica NY as it crossed the void. Then it finally hit Elk grove. Updated 3 more times. Updated twice in Dallas. Updated 4 time in Lubbock saying the 16th delivery. I will receive it on the 14th after a 4 more updates now. I new this was normal. I new from the beginning. I'm glad they put them in dealer type cases for shipment. I'll update tomorrow for my reaction on this one.
