So today I found out about this French vodka. They promote it as being 5 times distiled and made out of grapes in contrast to corn, sorghum, rye, wheat, or potatoes that are more commonly used. So has anyone ever tried it? Is it any good?

I'm French and I never heard anything about this brand

When I am trying to access their website I'm redirected to http://www.centurycouncil.org/ => WTF?

anyway, it looks like it's all about marketing at 50€ a bottle...

It's good. It's actually a brand owned by P. Diddy believe it or not. He promotes it in all of his videos.

Is it really HIS brand. As far as I read he's only hired as a promoter or something but I could be wrong. I'm just curious as to what's the taste having in mind it's made out of grapes.

I don't know why a good vodka should cost a lot of money. I drink Russian Standard which is top quality vodka and it goes for less than 20 euros....

Just read he is in "partnership" with Diageo PLC the true owner. I'm a kettle one myself, but I have friends who swear by ciroc and say they don't get a hangover.

Funnily enough i was thinking the same thing the other day after seeing it in a music video. I've seen it being promoted in alot of Hip Hop vidoes recently, the only viable information i've ever found out about it was that it was 5 times distilled, and Diddy plus a couple of other rappers have been paid to promote the brand.

I've never had the pleasure of seeing it in the UK though.

I usually drink Kettle One too, and occasionally buy a bottle of Level. I have tried Ciroc a few times & like it. Makes a nice martini. :)

I have been drinking it for years, way before P. Diddy got involved with them. It's really good stuff, very smooth to drink straight & great for mixing as well. Well worth purchasing a bottle to give it a try.

It seems to me that it has about doubled in price over the past couple years. I remember buying it as a present at less than $20 "pre-Diddy" and now it is closer to $40.

Hey, nice sig! :)

My buddy swears by the stuff. I thought it was pretty good but I'm not a regular, I prefer Absolut to goose, belv, etc.

Ciroc is a nice vodka in general. I place it in the same category with Belvedere, Ruski Standard Platinum (a litle bit better i must say). Costs a litle bit more but is way better than the regular shit like Absolut, Smirnoff etc.

Any vodka drinkers here should try "siku" it's a newer glacer ice 5 times distilled vodka, actually bartend and some of our very wealthy regulars own a big steak in the company. Had been a belvedere fan before siku

I'm not a big fan of Ciroc. For the price you can get much better vodkas. If you're looking for a good & cheap french vodka there is a brand called Froggy B. By far the best under $20 vodka. The problem is it isn't sold everywhere. I usually pick up one or two everytime i see it.

I've had Siku before, it's pretty good. I have a friend who's all about it.

I don't understand they hype with Russian Standard. IMO it's one of the least smooth vodkas i've had in that price range. It tates kinda cheap. I'd much rather get a bottle of Stoli (still my #1) or Hammer + Sickle (a little higher price range than Russian Standard)

Ciroc is ok. Not great but not bad. I could name five better vodkas in same price range off the top of my head that I'd rather drink and even a couple of cheaper ones (Zubrowka, 42 Degrees).

It's not Ciroc that doesn't give hangovers, it's good vodka in general.

To 99% of people who haven't tried it, will dismiss it as nothing more than marketing hype. I hand on heart urge you to buy the blue dot bottle I.e no flavouring and mix it with whatever your mix of choice is, firstly take a pure shot then follow it with a little mix to take whatever harshness prevails. Then tell me that isn't the smoothest vodka you have ever tasted. Expensive, but what's the true price to get rid of a stinking hangover!

Ciroc Pineapple is a good mixer with Red Bull, but aside from that I am not a fan of the Ciroc line. As said above, I think bang for your buck is definately Russian Standard. You can sip it straight frozen and it's as smooth as can be. Russians do vodka right.
