Referring to Genuines: I've noticed that on the new Chronomat Evolution (on the right) that there is no tubing visible where the threads supposed to be there to screw down the crown, yet it has the screw down function built internally. Are they also the same on the rep version?
Compare that to the previous Chronomat model (on the left) where you can actually see the threads on the tubing so that the screw down action takes place when it meets the crown.
I could only assume that the Evo has the better pressure seal due to its improved water resistance up to 1000 ft, compared to the previous Chronomat at only 330 ft. But again if we compare the Rolex Sub, it still uses the old version of the screw down crown pressurised to 1000 ft.
Anyone who wants to comment about the difference on the sealing effects between these two versions?
