Chopard Happy Sport Model + Franken Query

Hi All,

Looking at building a Franken Chopard Happy Sport for my wife and wondering if I can lean on some of your expertise.

Firstly, is this model anywhere close to genuine in its standard form?

Would it be difficult to source the parts that are not so gen like?

From what I understand, the a2892 is a solid reliable movement.

I have searched high and low for the above answers across the web with no luck, hence the reason for my post.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Did you ever do this? I'm curious about these, not a lot of info - I see a style 1 and style 2 on Puretime and wondering the difference!

Well, the gen 36 mm Happy Sport is 12,30 mm thick, so the Rep is pretty spot on in that regard.

The A2892 is an Asian clone of the ETA 2892, which is better and slimmer than the ETA (and Asian) 2824.

I think that the biggest tell compared to Gen watch is that the Gen has authentic diamonds inside, and the Rep CZ ( Cubic zirconia).
