Hi guys, looking to purchase some oil but got confused.
Referring to the ofrei oil chart below, it is recommended to use either the Moebius D5 or 8200 for most of the parts, am I reading it correctly?
(ETA tech sheet recommend D5 or HP-1300, but 1300 cost a bomb so im not considering..)

And after reading the description here:
http://www.esslinger.com/moebius-microgliss-watch-and-clock-oil-grease.aspx
and here
http://www.esslinger.com/20ml-moebius-8200-watch-spring-lube.aspx
im not so sure if 8200 is alright, but it is the cheaper of the two. Being a newbie i most likely gonna waste a bit of them so I wouldnt want to spend too much now.

Any expert can provide some advice?

Many thanks!

I believe 8000 will suffice in most situations. There is also the synthetic 9010. I use 8000 when I'm oiling rotors etc.. However, if you intend to completely disassemble movements, clean all the parts and then reassemble, then you will need all the various oils and greases to do it properly.

Watchbitz a Trusted Dealer here offers the oils ---------------> http://watchbitz.com.au/shop/index.php?_a=viewCat&catId=23

I found an interesting chart in Ottofrei:
http://www.ofrei.com/images/moebiuslubricatingchart.pdf

8000 seems to be pretty versatile.
But what calibar is a 2836-2 ?

It also suggest the 8200 for the main spring and the calendar/hand setting/winding part only, which contridicts with the oil chart in my first post, which seems to suggest 8200 in most parts?
Im getting more confused..:frusty:

The caliber which they are refering to is the Ligne size of the movement, in which case the 2836 is an 11 1/2 ligne.

I personally use the 8000, D5 (Microgliss) and the 8200
