Choice of my first rep watch! Panerai PAM000 - PAM390

Hey everyone,

I'm a super newbie as far as rep watches are concerned.
Some time ago i was into sneakers rep and i learned a bit of all the world behind reps.

As the title says i would like to buy my first rep watch and i just love panerai watches.
I want to buy a model that is super minimalistic, with no small seconds hand and a clean black dial.

My first choices were the pam914 and the pam560 but i've read some threads and from what i understood there are not reps of those two models.

So i went looking for similars models on some of the TD and the ones i like the most are the pam000 and he pam390.
Now i have 3 questions:

Are the pam914 and the 560 really not reproduced?

Are there other watches similar to these that i've missed? (black dial, no small seconds hand, leather strap)

if there aren't any, what are the best factories models (are they called batches also here or it is just a sneaker thing?) of the pam000 and the pam390?

Hi,

Your English is just fine, don't worry about it!

Regarding Panerai reps, if you're looking for the best quality ones you are in trouble. Some great models from H Factory or Noob have been out of production for years, on top of that VSF factory that has been making the best Pam reps in the last years has been closed due to recent raids in China. So currently the best option to get a really good Pam rep is to buy from another member in the forum's Member Sales section but that also requires a lot of luck and being prepared to pay high prices.

It seems like you have a lot of reading ahead of you, forum is full of useful knowledge.

Hello.

From your message, I understand that you are looking for a base model in a 44mm case, as well as, as I understand it, because of everything that you have listed - made of steel.

If we talk about what has been done as a rep for all the time, and what is being done now, it will be 2 different conversations.

Now you can only buy new PAM000/PAM634/PAM774 from the HWF factory (Suppose the PAM779 HWF is not suitable for you because it has a black PVD coating).
These models must be available from TD.

If we talk about basic models that you can find, but they are not produced at the moment, then this is a pretty long list.
PAM002 (DSN), PAM112, PAM219, PAM000, PAM390, PAM773, PAM774.
If you look at the white dials, then add at least a minimum of PAM114 and PAM651, if Tatan, then PAM176, PAM562, and I probably missed something right off the bat.

No, nobody did PAM914, PAM560 it seems like it wasn’t too.

Decide how you want to teach them: Novmi, and then everything is simple and the choice is not great, or look for the same, then you need to read at least PAM GUIDE and be educated in this matter.

There was a 560 rep from a lesser factory (don't remember which). Nobody bought them because the P.5000 movement deco plates were awful.

You can get a clue of the actual prices here from users when you search the specific models with the search function of the board. Then you can also see, how often they are offered. For the rare models it might be very hard, to get them on the M2M market.

The best PAM000 & PAM390 comes from NOOB and they stop doing panerai a long time ago. You can do a WTB post or wait until 1 pops up in M2M section.
