The questions are followed by a chinese name which phonetically sounds like the answer in english e.g. Hu Yu Hai Ding = who you hiding. ;)

Goin, the joke is in taking what looks kind of like phonetically written chinese, when actually they are phonetic english

I think the reason this wouldn't seem funny to someone with Chinese as their first language (perhaps any language other than English) is pronounciation. For example in romanised Chinese the "wai" would be pronounced closer to "way" than the "why" as it's used here. The "wao' would read something more like wahyow (the emphasis on the yow).

"i" sounds like "ee". Es sound 'ehh' (as in the e in met). etc.
