Hi Pamily,

I’m being offered a 199, which you don’t see very often.
I know that you don’t see these that often.
I’ve seen two versions:
One with the, correct, bigger seconds subdial and one with a seconds subdial like the 024.
This seems to be the latter one.

I’m curious to know what this’ll be worth since it’s a not often seen model.
It’s in rough shape but still think it’s a cool model.

Looking forward to hearing your assessments.

Hey F,

As you state - the 199 is not one that you see often. Even though this is not the better rep version that was available several years ago, it wouldn't surprise me to see one in good/excellent condition sell for $450-550 in the collectors M2M section due to its rarity.

However, the one in the pictures above looked to have been owned by a grave digger or farm machinery mechanic! I'm sure that it will look much better with a thorough cleaning but as I'm sure you are aware, it's a pain to refinish / brush a sub bezel. It also looks as though there may be some delamination round the edges of the cyclops?

I'd value it at around $200-250 - IF its running and keeping a strong PR.

What a beaut! Looks like it was worn the way it was meant to be worn!

Very timely, I just picked this up from a member on a different forum. Seems like it has the wrong dial? I plan to use it for a future project, and picked it up cheap, so not too worried if it’s what I surmised.

Looks like a 024 with a 199 caseback.
As long as you’ve picked it up cheap, that’s not a problem.
