Cheapest thick buckle?

Hi everybody!

Does anyone have some ideas about a good buckle that is similar to the heroic 18 poseidon buckle but less expensive?

I am in need of a couple of buckles for my self made straps that does not cost 40$ and more. They have to be big and heavy duty, not like the flimsy, small, thin buckles that comes with the rep straps.

www.panatime.com is a decent bet.. they won't be super nasty thick like the heroic, but still a huge different from the standard rep.. much closer to the h18 than the rep

good buckles are hard to find for less then that. I've had better luck buy straps with good buckles used then sell the band without buckle. I still need a another buckle myself.

That's about what you're going to pay for a decent buckle. KH and SC buckles are about the same price.

Too bad I was hoping to find a decent buckle for $20 or something. The reason why I want it is because a strap I made for my father was measured with the heroic buckle (which was my own buckle) and when using the rep panerai engraved buckle the strap is too tight.

Maybe the best bet is to buy a used strap as supermanx said..

Well you can get basic unbranded 24mm buckles for like $10-15 (Croc at Primestraps has some BTW) but they won't have anything fancy on them like the KH or SC ones do.

Hi OP,

You might wana try this site here?

They offer sub buckles "similar" to other reputable ones if you can see the similarities and the best thing is its much cheaper.

Check out Ebay. In the search criteria, search for"Panerai buckles", "24mm buckles", or "24 mm sew in buckles". I have gotten several decent buckles from vendors there.

Yeah I saw that one. Maybe Ill try with that one. If it doesnt fit I will just buy a new one for dad and keep the sparta for myself

But shipping seems outrageously expensive if you live outside US. Is it really $20!?

Have never seen a good buckle at eBay. They look almost like the rep buckles. Or are they good? 10$ for a buckle is ok, but not if they are like the rep buckles.

wow, that thing is stupendously thick. I might pick one up even though I don't have a PAM to put it on at the moment...I do kinda wish it was Pre-V style though...

This is a very cool, thick, sub buckle on ebay. $30 is the lowest I've seen for really cool buckles.

I spent the past week hunting for Titanium buckles. I ordered a 24mm pre-V from panatime and it's great. I also ordered one from Heroic 18 because I prefer a thicker Sub buckle to match the Titanium Submersible. I did not, however, find any cheap Ti buckles
