changing a dial

sorry, i picked up a vintage panny from andrew (on order, should have it soon)...
this one here
what i would like to do is swap out the dial for davidsons "radiomir panerai" base dial.
is it something a mechanically inclined person like me (by mechanically i mean working on the engine of my land rover) do, or should it be sent out?

yeah i was totally thinking the same thing about the cleaning, since it is there anyway. i was also considering picking up a swiss mov't from otto frei and having him maybe swap it out. not that i think the asian one is bad, but for some reason swiss allways sounds better =)
