Hi all you Panerai enthusiasts :) Well to be honest the first time I saw that Panerai crown setup I though "god thats ugly!". Now I am really coming round to liking these watches. A lot !

I am wondering, does anyone out there have a list, specifically, of the ones with showcase backs ? And are the reps of these, in general, reasonably close or are there any scary no-where nears ?

Thanks.

Almost all of the automatic rep watches are solid case backs. Most of the manual wind reps are display case backs.

Hope that helps you a little. If you have a specific model in question, just let us know...

I'd have to own a 111 to warm up to it.

Personally, I'm an Omega guy. I feel a little out of the loop not getting the pam thing - like a wine person who doesn't like cabernet.

When I first joined here I could NOT understand the forum's apparent facination with the Pams. I thought it looked clunky, comical in appearance - like a clown watch. :)

Now, well ...

I ordered my first one.

Over the last month or so they have really grown on me, and I have come to appreciate their style. Now we just have to see if I still feel that way once it arrives!

It's the exotic bands that can make that watch rock.
It's an acquired taste that I am starting to understand.

Same here: Had not heard of the brand. I tried one on at a dealer and my mind changed right there.

I have taken to the Radiomir case. That makes me a fringe player:cool2:

The Luminor series is next, I imagine. Not the 111 necessarily, but something that's brushed. Maybe a sub? Slytech? Hmmmm...
