Hello, iwant to order an colt 44. Can i change the movement with a gen movement? the swiss 2824 costs around 200 euro. which movements can i usw as well? Miyota?
Or should i wear the watch and wait until its not working anymore and then change?
Any ideas?

You might just want to get the watch in hand first. I’ve had a couple of the Colt 44s, both the GF and the ‘other’ factory (I cant recall) and they have had no issues whatsoever. Asian clone movements seem to be getting better on the whole, but you can still get a dud. I’d wait til it fails, since you are going to budget for a Swiss movement anyway.

its supposed to be a everyday watch. so if the movement has a good long life, why not
But its possible to change the movement right?.i would wear it until the momvent dies. and then change it to a gen movement.
what is the average price of swiss movements? and can i only switch to a original 2824 or can i use other movements for the colt as well?
this is the one i like. is it a good one?

The UBF is very good for the money, and the white is the best colour to get. If you want black or blue, get the GF version. Yes you can swap out to a Swiss 2824-2 but you likely won’t have to.

If you want a bracelet for it, I have the good Pro II GF bracelet for the Colt for sale in the Strap Central section.

You need to use the Swiss movement ETA2824-2. I have done so many times. The cost of movement is from 100 euros.
