Hi all,
I urgently need you help on this. I have just received my J12 from Hont. AGAIN, perfect transaction!!
BUT, I have never seen that type of links. Does anyone know how to change the links?
Is it push pins?
Thanks

My recollection is that the J12 just uses standard push pins. I've never heard of anyone having problems with them.

Is it push pins?

Hi Horologik,

I was wondering the same thing when I received the J12 for the missus.

It uses push-pins with somekind of tube-cap on it (sorry, don't know the word), see here:

I just used my tool, the 'needle' fits into the cap, then you just turn and push the pin out, the cap remains on the needle of the tool:

Hope this helps!

This is frustrating. I went through two of my push pin tools and both of them broke when trying to alter the link. I don't know if it's just cheap or if the needle does not fit in the rivet. Are the pins that are being used standard size?

Gee Saint, I used my pin pusher as Patrick has shown and the pins came right out.

Either I'll get replacement needles, if I can find any on eBay or just hop over to Tourneau.

Hey @angelnoel0217 - I just got a nice J12 from Trevor at Trevortime. Only about $100 and super fast delivery.

Now I need to adjust the strap and take a few links out. As a total novice - the ends of the pins look like allen key shape... are they pins (ie I need to push them with a pin remover) or are they allen keys and they need unscrewing..?

help?

thanks!

J12 Links

I lost the top of the J12 push pin and need to add a link. Anyone know where to get a replacement?

Does anybody else have a problem of the watch squaring off? I had a few links taken out and it's not completely oval on my wrist like some people's watch hmm..
