As I posted yesterday, I bought my wife a 33mm Chanel J12 Chromatic in matt dark grey ceramic from Narikaa. It's a quartz so is easy to live with (especially for the ladies who do not apparently enjoy the delights of automatic movements!), it has sapphire crystal, spring-loaded hidden clasp and a very nice matt ceramic case and bracelet.
The screw-in crown operates nicely, setting the date and time is a breeze, and the uni-directional bezel (with ceramic insert) rotates and clicks positively. The two-tone textured dial is crisp and the polished hands and numerical hour markers really compliment the dark grey tones of the watch. There is no lume.
It's not perfect though (like most reps
) and the "1" in hour marker "10" is slightly squinty (possibly the "1s" in "11" too) and the crown doesn't sit exactly centered between the crown guards. You can see daylight through the gap between the bracelet end links and the case lugs, and there's also a slight mark (maybe just glue) on the edge of the ceramic bezel at 1. Nothing particularly concerning or annoying but I said this was a review so you're getting the whole story as I see it!
I think this is a great watch for the price of £68, it looks uber cool in the matt finish and should give years of reliable operation.
And so on to a couple of pics I snapped tonight - hope you enjoyed my mini review!
