4 months ago I was once again in the market for ‘another’ everyday watch. A conversation I have with my wife all too frequently according to her! I finally found the Certina and if your into larger watches this could be the best bang for buck on the market!
Specs -
43mm wide
47mm lug to lug (which makes the wearability much better)
500m water resistant ISO 6425 certified
Locking dive bezel (aluminium)
Sapphire crystal
Movement- inside this modern day reissue beats the powermatic 80.611 featuring a Nivachron hairspring.
Used in both the Tektite 1 and 2 missions by NASA and the U.S Navy it’s plenty capable of holding its own against the big boys. Of all the dive watches I’ve worn for £700 you get an amazingly capable watch which will take anything you can throw at it. The watch does come on a NATO which is a negative for me but I personally wear this on a Forstner flat link or an Omega speedmaster rubber style strap and both look incredible.
