Have been considering a ceramic PAM for a long while. Curious what the owners of these reps think regarding the quality and hardness of the case? How do they hold up to wear? Would you buy again or avoid based on your experiences?
Thanks in advance for opinions!

As long as you get a real ceramic and is from a good factory, VSF comes to mind, you will be very happy.

I had a 508 rep stolen = sorely missed.

The VSF441 = amazing rep.

You gotta be careful however because these ceramic cases are known to chip. They are definitely much much more delicate than a steel/titanium/etc... case.

I would confirm those pieces are very solid. And I have never had an issue, but I would be extra careful when changing the straps and avoid putting too much leverage on the lugs - and remember to never use metal tubes for a ceramic PAM strap.

The Panerai Tuttonero PAM 00438 from VSF is one of the best made REPs I have ever seen.
I can back this up. One of the lugs on my 1663 is a bit chipped. It doesn't stop me from wearing it but its annoying.

How would one get a hold something like this? Is not showing in trusty site and he made it clear only items in site he can get 🤔🤔

I’m thinking about the tubes. So you just go tubeless?

Yes tubeless is essential, learned the lesson the hard way, luckily a small strip of dental floss saved my life

Tubes are ok for ceramic case sets as one side of the lugs are drilled through. It's the carbotech ones that can't use tubes as they use conventional springbars.

Generally ceramic pams rock. Just be careful with the ceramic radiomirs as the metal lugs can break the case of you force em or over torque em. I have the 508, 607, 292, 613 and 438.

438 being remarkably well made and the bracelet is stunning as well.

Life saving trick. I spent like an hour with a teeny tiny jewellers file between lug and strap to avoid hurting the lug and/or expensive leather strap :ROFLMAO:

Shouldn't there be like a plastic tube? Like a straw? But that's so cheap.
