Hi All,

Hoping someone can give me a hand identifying a rep that I picked up in Thailand last year. I gave 10,000THB but that was before I'd ever looked online and I didn't even know the whole rep world existed outside of the madness of Asian malls. Regardless I really like this piece and its recently stopped working, before I send it off to one of the recommended watchsmiths I want to make sure i'm not wasting my time with a poor rep, in which case ill place an order for the carbotech 1950 from one of the TD's here. Sorry its a bit image heavy. Thanks for your help, J

Images aren't great so hard to get a good look but I'd probably throw this in the drawer and order the KW/V6 616. You could pay for this to be repaired but if you want to then sell it to upgrade, you'd probably only get what it cost to fix it. If you're lucky.

It's a PAM441 ALE, it has no TUTTONERO inscription at the back, movement is not blackened and the glass looks tinted. I am unsure of the material but definitely one of the earlier versions with the inverted text and the 28 Jewels notation.

To the OP, I would suggest having a rep-friendly watchsmith opening the caseback and finding the two screws for the rotor. They might be stuck inside the movement or the single screw holding the rotor might be causing the rotor to get stuck against the caseback glass, one or both of which can cause the watch to stop. ;)

IT IS A PAM 441

Sorry. I was confused by the black strap and didn't mind the movement colour

Thanks

Thanks for your help, I think I will relegate it to a draw and upgrade it to one of the better reps / not be buying my reps from MBK anymore. I don't have enough posts to do a sale and in all honesty its going in the draw, the strap is a GEN so i'm going to keep that but if anyone wants the head its self with the brown strap it came on you can have it for just the postage. Unless that's against the rules of the forum and then it shall have to live a life of solitude in the draw.

Dont go giving it away before you ask a local watchsmith to give you a quote to fix it. You never know, it might be something simple if you're lucky. It doesn't seem to be a bad rep, just an earlier one before they made them in ceramic. And you're not the first to be dazzled by MBK haha.

well, at least it's a rep with the "correct" 8 and 10 markers .. of the KW they are way to thin.
