I think you are missing my point, folks. Panerai does not have OFFICIAL ambassadors - not in Tag Heurer/Leo de Caprio or Longines/Agassi or Rolex/Federrer kind of way, where "Ambassador" is basically paid to advertise a particular brand or model. Find me one official Richemond source where Panerai lists their ambassadors? You won't get one, I can assure you. How long would it take you to get one for Longines? Exactly two secs - here you go, this is how you tell the world you've recruited an army of paid celebs to promote your brand:

Find me a page on panerai.com with similar content, pls. The earlier Stallone ads are kind of redundant as it was done when Panerai was a tiny independent maker and to be honest, completely irrelevant brand in the world of horology; the new owners have never hired or paid celebs or made any official " ambassador" links to advertise the product to anyone in the world of cinema, sports etc. It is the fact - all people listed in these endless "PAM-wearing celebs" threads all over the net are not paid to endorse the brand, they just wear these watches because they like them or were provided with a PAM for because the brand sponsored a particular event or race or expedition ...but not to advertise it by an individual as a paid service. And no, Ale, I am not naive - LOL indeed - I am pretty sure Richemond has had some deals behind the closed doors with the likes of Statham & Co., that's business but they are clever enough to never associate them directly with the brand and that's what makes this kind of advertising a lot more effective as it is perceived to be more genuine and personalised. But as long as we are talking official ambassadors, the modern Panerai has had none since the company moved to Switzerland, and I applaud it for this attitude. Viola
