Just wondering if there is such a thing? I find plenty of ETA cloned/AR/Swiss cased ones and the basic cheaper 21J versions. Isn't there anything in between with AR/Swiss case/curved bracelet and a generic Asian mvt? Plenty of those with the regular UPO look out there....

Either I'm looking in the wrong places or they really don't make it. :?

Hey all, noob here ( been reading a lot though ) and I apologize if this is considered hijacking...

This seemed like a good place to ask since I'm looking for a UPO and Seamaster. I was wondering if there have been updates to QC when ordering the Swiss ETA version of this watch (UPO) as I don't want to pay for it and end up with a clone. I understand many people have got bit by purchasing what should have been a true swiss movement but upon inspection found them to be the Chinese clone. Just curious if this is still an issue, and if so who do you recommend purchasing from that will actually inspect the movement before sending?

Any help and guidance would be much appreciated.

I think at this point in the game, you're probably only going to find clones coming from the factories.

Your problem is that EVERYONE will say they inspect it before it's shipped,, just like cartel will say they dont drop ship even though they just hand in order slips for the majority of their orders....

Hont, Angus and I have been the only ones to actively step up and advertise Asian Clone options on watches where others would simply sell clones as ETA.

There are some who will deliver genuine ETA when ordered,, but I would not say that those who have lied about it can be trusted to now deliver on it.
