Case thickness

Hello everyone. I'm currently in the market for a new PAM rep for my xmas gift to me. Actually my wife wants
to know what to get me so I told her I'm working on narrowing down my list. So here's my dilemma, I prefer
my second rep to be one where I can wear to work & currently my 243 sits too high on the wrist to be worn with
a button down shirt. I'm not trying to fit it under the cuff of a shirt & I understand that most timepieces
with a case thicker than 15-16mm may sit too high but I'd like to strike a balance somewhere. My target watches
right now are PAM 312, 417, 356 & 359. I understand the chrono-capabilities of the A7750 make it a bigger movement compared to others.

312: I read 2 great & informative reviews from set2374 & kilo on this timepiece. There's another review out
there that I can't find right now that talks in detail about the case height/thickness. My question is for those that have or seen
both varieties of the 312, is the difference that big?

356: It's listed in the PAM Reference Guide w/a A7750 but thickness of 16.5 Why the difference?

359: It's listed in the PAM Reference Guide w/a A7750 but thickness of 18.5 Why the difference?

Thanks in advance

312: The difference between the PAM312L, which is the A7750 version and the PAM312O, which has the A7750 with decorative plates to look like the P9000 movement, is probably 2-3 millimeters due to the addition of decorative plates.

356: The difference in height from the PAM312 and PAM359 is due to the fact that the PAM356 is using the Luminor Bettarini case and not the Luminor 1950s case. The lack of a display caseback on the PAM356 also reduces the thickness.

359 : I am not sure which thickness difference you are referring to. If it's comparing the PAM359 to the PAM243, then it's also a matter of using a display caseback that's making the PAM359 thicker than the PAM243 submersible.

As said by mysterio if you are looking for thinner PAMs you should avoid Luminor1950 (312 and 359) cases and go to Luminor Bettarini like PAM 356 or PAM 417. Or try a Radiomir PAM 380 type
