Cartier Tank Solo and Louis Reps

Hi everyone,

looking at at picking up one of these reps. I know the Solo is supposed to be pretty spot on but can anyone tell me what the main flaws are? I couldn’t see much difference between photos with my eyes.

I am also looking at a gold plated Louis Cartier, I know the plating will probably suck but how is the watch otherwise?

The AF Tank Solo rep seems pretty close to gen from what I can see. I believe some flaws are the stone being too pointed in the rep compared with gen. Also check the cartier branding is in the right position (differs between sizes).

I have found a "silver" version (presumably a replica of 18k white gold hence the Au750 on the back and the Louis only coming in precious metal) - but this is not offered by the AD so I was thinking if the factory went a little creative and put up 18k white gold version??

Its so hard for me to pinpoint these Louis replicas since I do not really find white gold versions out there on the auth. market?? At least not from that era?

Also the indication on the "tag" on the TDs website "WGTA0010" indicates the ref. of the auth. RG Tank Louis!

I am also searching for a Cartier Tank Louis and got in touch with a TD asking for one. However, the tD told me there were no good versions being produced at this time, hence the market is empty, since available wachtes are sold out.
If anyone has better, more actual information, please post here. Thx!
