Was looking around for skeleton watches and found they aren't really that common or easy to rep.

One TD i found that had a good skeleton was Hont specifically the Cartier Skeleton Santos.

Was just wondering if anyone themselves have this specific watch or another skeleton rep watch.
(I'm in search of the AP Royal Oak Openworked or AP Royal oak tourbillion although no luck so far in my search)

... to RWI!

The problem with skeleton watches is that they kind of defy the basic concept of replica watches. Normally, reps have decorated standard movements with so-called decoration plates to imitate the appearance of an in-house movement through the open caseback and to hide the fact that a standard movement is hidden behind the deco plates.

Now with skeleton dials, the whole point is the exact opposite: to show the inner workings, not only from the back, but from the front (through the dial).

Naturally, this makes it rather hard for the reppers to create the appearance of an expensive in-house caliber, while using a run-of-the-mill movement...

It usually results in heavy flaws and tells. Thus the popularity of such replicas is relatively low and thus the number of repped skeleton watches is lower than of their non-skeleton counterparts.
