Hello, Noob here,

Essentially diving into the world of Cartiers reps and just wanted to know if they are worth purchasing. Lastly, what models are worth looking into. Cheers.

Exert the effort and do the reading. We don’t spoon feed people here.

You get this much - BVF makes a rather good Santos.

Appreciate the info but to be honest I only just joined the forum and still overwhelmed about navigating about. Just trying to streamline big dawg :)

Agreed that there is an almost overwhelming amount of info here but that does mean that most questions can be answered with a good search faster than asking

Fair play to you, you’ve picked a brand of rep which is of some interest here, but you won’t find a great deal of deep discussion on modding the rep Cartiers.

Always pay attention to how old the threads on a topic may be. You don’t want to go down a rabbit hole on a rep factory or model to discover it is long gone and unattainable. You could work your way backwards from a larger TD like Trusty’s catalogue (which, I must point out to you, still lists goods which are no longer available from factories sometimes) and see what is still being discussed and is available if you don’t want to potentially drift through the sales forum for a protracted period waiting to find that particular bracelet code variant of a no longer contemporarily repped watch.

There is also less information to find for the fact of less interest exists in this brand versus, say, Rolex, which also means fewer factories competing on rep watch units or aftermarket parts for the Cartiers.

I think one question I have for you to consider now is, are you planning to stay stock on a Cartier rep, or are you aiming to modify a Cartier rep into some sort of otherworldly rep?
