What's wrong with the strap? Is the movement and second hand nice and smooth? Do u know what type of movement it is? I'm about to pull the trigger on this one myself. Thanks!

I think the strap is a little hard, but I feel it will soften up nicely with use. I believe it's an Asian DG2813 modified for seconds at 6, beating at 28k (I don't have equipement to test). I was told that it's a Miyota movement. I'm not an expert so I'm not sure.

Has anyone tried swimming or showering with this one. Of course, the safe route would be go to a watch smith and get it waterproofed.

I'm starting to get into those cartiers... I love my santos, but this design is great too, might need to save some bucks to get one myself now...!

as far as i recall, the make is the same, only difference is the movement.
a reknown watchmaker whom i know did mention that several miyotas are actually made in china, hence i would go for this version instead of pure-time out of pure cost effectiveness..

Does anyone know if the newer bezel on the miyota version is compatible with the previous version with correct date wheel?

puretimes version is very solid built with a modified miyota movement making it 28k beats like gen. but the date wheel is backwards, I had to look at it many times before realizing it.
very solid watch with good weight. still waiting to get my hands on Stan's to see the differences.

rotor fell off apart after a week!
contacted pure time they won't send me a new rotor even though its an easy fix (three screws), they want me to post the entire watch which is going to cost me plus then dealing with customs risk again.
I will contact Angus see if he can do anything about this

It's not a 21.6k Miyota which has been upgraded at 28.8 (the 8215 looks absolutely different), it's most likely a 9015 which has been modified with seconds@6
The 8215 would had the right date direction also.

The dealers misdescribe the watch with the A2836 (such thing doesn't exist with seconds@6 and looks very different) or the beatrate.

So which dealers are stocking the model with the correct datewheel?

And can someone please outline how the bezel insert is "wrong" on the PureTime/inTime version because I can't see the difference.

That one has a Miyota movement and a much more gen-like bezel insert, but it's 21k beats vs the gen at 28k. Also, the date wheel is going in the wrong direction (major tell).

WBK Verison (wrong bezel insert):

InTime/Puretime Miyota (wrong date wheel, movement beat):

Gen:

i help some fellow members got the correct date wheel from wm after they told me about them, very low priced but hideous quality at least to me (sorry fellows) I guess this is all reps about, just to look like the gen...

Stan's stock has the corrected date wheel, just an FYI. Recieved mine about a week ago. I am not positive on the movement, but the seconds in the 6' subdial are good. quite smooth sweep motion.
