Hi All!
I am about to pull the trigger on a large gold wrapped TT Ballon Bleu ETA 2824 and was wondering if anyone has seen or done a review of the latest version. From what I understand there are multiple factories that make the watch and each ones is slightly different. Any recommendations?
Thanks.

Thanks sharkey! Care to share more pictures of that baby ? :) if its not too much trouble could you pm me where you bought it from and if you recommend the seller?

Would a gen tt bracelet fit on the rep? How much does everyone think it would cost from an ad?

No problem will try and post some more pics up for you tonight, i see no reason for the gen bracelet not to fit, i know of a gen ss strap that is for sale, but priced at £600 bloody rip off if you ask me, and not sure if it is even genuine.
I've been looking for a leather strap for about a month now to no avail, seem few and far between and dont want to pay boutique prices, but did buy a genuine strap for my wifes ballon de bleu for £60, but now need to get a new buckle as the rep buckle is 13mm and i need a 14mm one for the genuine strap.

The rep strap is very very good, just dont get the tt

That looks great!!! Any obvious differences from the Gen? I will definitely have to find the original tt bracelet. The gold links just bring the watch to life in my opinion and live with the SS till then.

The only obvious difference that i can notice is that the engraving on the back isn't as deep as the gen, probably a small difference in the colour of the crown, but it hides nice behind the crown guard so its not as noticable as say the cartier santos crown in the rep.
:sharkey:
I have to agree with you about the tt bracelet, it really does add another touch of class to the watch, dont think i could bring myself to spend the £££££££££££££ssss on a genuine one, unless you can find them at a GREAT price.

I wouldn't be worried about little differences. Wearing this those things will be the least of your concerns,

Care to elaborate?
I have looked at your pics, but could not find any problems with the gold. Is that just because it is hard to capture on a photo?
Or is it just that you now prefer the looks of SS to TT?

Anyone know where I can buy a full size 42mm one in yellow gold (non two-tone)?

Thanks

the problem with even the genuine TT is that the gold does not continue on the clasp even though its supposed to be hidden, it stops randomly...very cheap looking!

I mean...does anyone know if those links are really made from solid gold? Does it worth the money? Anyone bought this model from puretime and can share his experience?

What do you mean? What else is there to be concerned about with this timepiece?
