Cartier Ballon Bleu 42mm on men

Just as the title suggested. I wonder what's the opinion on guys wearing that watch. Is it a bit too girly or it's fine?

Also would anyone happen to know the best version out there. Is it still the V6F V4 version? Could I use a leather strap for it?

I dunno, I've placed quite a few orders and can never bring myself to order it. Something about it is SUPER appealing because of the domed glass and the look. But then, it's mainly a womens brand, and the women version is the exact same just a bit smaller. So it's a toss up. Looks like Ozzy owns one though.

It's like dudes wearing pink. Some can pull it off, some can't. Same can be said for ladies.not all styles work for all people, yeah?

It's a gorgeous watch. Love the pic you posted. The Roman numerals also are bold and masculine. I like that juxtaposition with a softer round dial. As long as it's sized well on your wrist and matches your style I say rock it.

I don't think it would look "girly", as it is a sophisticated piece and i think i recall a watch documentary on YouTube where they interviewed a Cartier creative director and out of all the Cartier pieces he could be wearing (tank, calibre, Santos) he was wearing a ballon bleu.

You'd just need to adjust your perception that it's a "girl watch." If you had first seen the watch pictured, never knowing there's an identical but smaller version marketed to women, would you need it on your wrist, or still hesitate?

Personally, if you like it and can afford to lose maybe $50 at most I would just order it and if you really don't like it I'm sure you can sell it on the M2M pretty quickly without too much of a loss!

Seemed fairly tall and well built (then again, I'm Asian) with a certain regal air about him. I suppose if, let's say, he was a foppish-looking, lithe and effete man with less facial hair than a 12 year old girl, then it might be a harder piece to pull off. One's mileage would vary.
