CARTIER Ballon Bleu 36mm

This is one of the watches I always wanted, the real dress watch especially with a leather strap (that I will ask the ABP to do for me in a few weeks or months depending of the cash inflow)

So this is the 36mm (midsize) Ballon Bleu with Gen Eta movement that I bought from MR, it is the no date auto one.

I never had the opportunity to try the gen one on (except for the gold and leather owned by my brother in law) but this looks really accurate to the real deal

I know that some people here and on other forums think it's too "girly" but I don't give a damn!

One of my favorite watches.. I personally need the 42mm due to my body's build, but either way man.. what works for you is obviously working. Just seeing your wristies makes me wanna buy that much more... just wish they sold a good version with an asian clone to save me some $$$...

thanks Wizawuza! My wrist is 6.75 and even for me this looks a bit small so I can understand why you would like to pick the 42mm one. This one is a gift I've done to myself for my 25th birthday (along with a rolex GMTIIC ) that's why I was ready to pay big bux for it.

And the sexy guilloché:

The hands really are blue even if you can not really tell from the pictures (except pic n°3 in my first post)
And the dial looks whiter than the grey tone seen on most pics

The 42mm version is the watch that brought me to this forum. I was always hesitant to purchase it because I tried the gen and the sapphire is a dome shape, and it appears to me hard to replicate it very well.

Any major differences between this and the gen?

I will do so on tuesday as I am actually traveling in sweden and did not take this one with me.

As I said, I had the opportunity to get a long look and try the gen in gold exactly the same model but with leather strap and this is really close. MR told me that this one has actually been done using a gen one (no BS this time)

mid-size was 298$ same price that you can get from Lay or the others. the full size 42mm is more expensive.
