Carrera endlinks alternatives?

Hello,

Is there an alternative to this endlink shown on the pic?
Its a steel band of a carrera ordered from Hont.
Im really impressed of the quality of the band but the quality of these ends are really poor.

My question is now if a source is available where i can get this ends in better quality?

Those are the endlinks. Take the bracelet off the watch and rub the endlinks with a scotchbrite pad. You can get the pads at most hardware stores. Use the brownish red pads (they come in a few colors) and rub hard. A few minutes with the pad should have those looking like the rest of the bracelet.

You will want the pad anyway to rub out the scratches that will happen to the bracelet as you wear the watch.

Thank you for your advices but its not only the way the endlinks are brushed is the raw working of this endlinks.
For example the gap between the brushed and the polished part is worked very bad.

I will try to mod the parts myself but im wondering if there is a source for better ones?

I've never seen endlinks sold by themselves. Normally you get a whole new bracelet or you can switch to a rubber or leather strap. It's hard to tell from the picture how bad that is. It looks horrid though. Was it a lower end rep? The higher end stuff seems to have fewer issues like this. I've gotten 4 lower end Tag reps and they've all had issues. 2 of them had issues with the clasps on bracelets. Send an email to Hont with pics and see if he can get you a replacement bracelet or endlinks.

No, its not a low end one. Its good quality.
And how i said, the rest is really good. Only the endlinks are worked bad. I think this issue is normal to the tags. I seen a lot pics around here with the same issue. I also received a high end tag Carrera daydate and its the same with the endlinks.

Another question. How i separate the endlink from the rest of the bracelet?
Its possible to separate the links without pins? How they are put together?

You are not going to find better endlinks. Well maybe if you buy a bunch of bracelets and sort through them.

Your best bet is to mod them; with some fine-grit sandpaper and patience, I'm sure you'll mod them to your liking, rough edges are easy to smooth out.

if you take the spring bars out the bracelet will fall away from the end links, they are held together by the spring bars
