Hi,
Being new here I've been doing a massive amount of research over the past few days on different types of replica watches and movements etc... Had a few late nights since I discovered this forum!
Does anyone have any experience with the A7750 movement running seconds at 9? How reliable are they? I've read they are much more reliable when at 9 rather than modified versions with seconds running at 6, 3 and 12 due to the extra gears needed and friction caused by them. Do the same rules (i.e no changing date between certain time, resetting chronograph at certain pints) still apply to watches with seconds @ 9 too?
My favourite watch is a Tag Carrera Cal 1887 - which has it's seconds dial at the 9 position. I've currently been looking at the V6F model from puretime http://www.puretime.watch/product/ca...strap-cal1887/
Anyone have experience with this model and improved movement?
I wouldn't mind eventually paying for a full service for this watch but ideally I don't want to have to do it as soon as the watch arrives. A service for these movements isn't easy to source and is not cheap (any recommendations for UK servicing? I'm very close to London). I'm just a little nervous about shelling out £200 on a rep that could potentially fail on me in the first year, I know it's a somewhat of a 'luck of the draw' type scenario though and with reps you have to accept that this may happen . I know it's a broad question that will vary from user to user, but how long on average do these reps usually last?
Apologies for all the questions (and to the mods if i've posted this in the wrong section ). I'm very new to this and trying to soak up as much information as I can. We all gotta start somewhere I suppose.
Regards,
Woodz.
