Hi! i´m newbie at this world and i wanna buy the tag heuer calibre 16 day date, but i´ve seen the "same" model at calibre 1887 (without day), is something more different at both models? machinery?

Calibre 16 is a modified by TAG ETA 7750 while the calibre 1887 is an In-house movement (if you are "noober" than I think: one is an "of-the-shelf" movement decorated and modified by TAG bought from a factory that supplies these movement called ETA. The 1887 is entirely made and designed from scratch by TAG.)

Gen Calibre 16 is a decorated ETA 7750 vs gen Calibre 1887 being a modified Seiko 6S37 slightly broader and thinner 100% produced in-house. They are both 43mm, high beat with seconds at 9 and the only noticeable difference is the day complication.

In terms of reps, they will be both Asian 7750, the 1887 rep is decorated to look like 6S37.

Are you going to buy the gen or the rep? The reps are both A7750 so no difference at all. Decorations are only aesthetic, they should not affect functionality.
