PAM616 Carbotech strap

I've just received my Carbotech, and it's very nice as far as I'm concerned. One oddity though. Does the gen-to-be only have one retaining band to hold the end of the strap? There's only one on this, and I see it's the same on the PT page. The result is that the strap, for my 6.75inch wrist, hangs out unless I take the single retainer out of its rubber lugs and move it along. Seems a bit odd...

Actually, a quick look at the gallery on the Panerai site shows the gen only a single one too. How odd. Maybe Panerai only expect to sell it to people with ENORMOUS wrists...

yea the gen rubber straps only have one keeper. they were designed to be worn for diving and worn over wetsuits hence the long strap and only one keeper cos with the wetsuit on there wouldn't be much strap tail left

Ah! Thanks for the info. I wonder though how many gens do actually sell to divers as opposed to poseurs like us (well, me, at any rate)!?

EDIT: Just found someone on Ebay selling 23mm rubber keepers, which should do fine.

They are designed for that but honestly how many people are buying them for a for that purpose? Reality is that most of them ends on 7-7.5" wrists and are worn with t-shirt and jeans although I suppose they wear just fine on 7.5. :)

EDIT: I could also read a post above mine.

Heh there will always be some percentage of people that actually use all functions of watches but I believe in most cases they don't even take them near water.

You got yourself some gens? I see you're rocking 320, no more into AP's? :)
