I've read others having this issue, but I wanted to create a thread specifically about it.

My movement balance swings freely and appears to be working fine but I can't get the minute hand to move. I believe it's the center canon pin running the hour and rest of the train.

Is there a trick to getting the canon pin fixed the the minute wheel to catch the rest of the train? I don't have this crimping tool I've read about. Is there another method?

i thought so but wasnt sure as i wont work on a 7750 ...

But you know the 7750 has a offset cannon pinion, and it is driven off the the little silver gear , not from the center

The top end isn't all that intimidating if all that chrono junk is gone. The video above makes it even more practical.

Offset, eh? Is it visible in my pic? The silver gear to the right drives the gear via keyless.

as far as tightening that up , i believe you need to stake the hole on the gear to reduce the diameter

THANKS! Do you see how it looks raised? I just pushed that bastard down and feel more resistance moving the keyless. Let me see if it moves the train...

Cool , if it stops again i know of an old watchmakers trick ...threading a human hair through the hole in the gear before pressing it on ....give it a little more interferance
