Could you tell me why would a rep dealer would give you the option to fix this at an extra cost? I'm thinking tat they should fix this since a rep should be as close to a gen as possible. Is there a functionality problem if this is not fixed?

Well unfortunately these makers are after your money. They bang em out as cheap as they can get away with and keep the perfect ones for themselves. Us cheap arses get to complain about it and push more money their way. If you think of buying a new car at the dealership it doesn't feel as painful. Seat belts are an option? SOMEBEECH!
