K, so I just revieved a gen swiss eta 6497 from our nutty friend at otto frei. The cannon pin is slightly recessed, SO i took the cannon pin that I had on an asian 6497 that was supposedly "fixed".
It is taller, and it makes the hands the perfect hight. the problem is that when it is put in, it dosn't "snap" on the pin like the original one does. the teeth however match the genuine swiss one, it is a perfect fit.
It does however work, and keeps good time thus far. So, the question is will the asian cannon pin fix work on a gen movement? meaning will i have problems with it?
