Hello all. I picked this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...253D&viewitem=) up from a guy on ebay after the auction got shut down. I liked the dial, CG, and hands better than what I have on the fiddy Jackson put together for me. I am still a new guy to this hobby, so I have a few questions:
1. Can anyone ID where this thing came from? Seller did not know. I tried swapping out the CG right away when it arrived but it was not compatible with the holes on my Jackson case. I was thinking of getting a plexi, case-back, and dial from Night Watch for it, but I know his stuff is designed for specific case mfg's and i don't know who made this one.
2. I notice that the wheel in the movement that rotates back and forth (forgive me, is that the balance wheel?) travels a lot less (and seemingly more slowly) than the one in my Jackson (or any of my other watches), and is also louder and seems to tick about twice as fast when I hold it to my ear. Wondering what that means?
3. What's the right way to get the remaining edges of the broken crystal out of the bezel without damaging the bezel itself? I presume there is some UV glue, but I don't know what solvent to use.
Any other observations would be very welcome, and if more/better pics would help I could add them tonight.
Thanks all,
Dave
