CALLING PANERAI EXPERTS: pam 063 question

Does anyone know how many GMT 063 watches were produced? Did Panerai only produce these watches for one year? If you have a website that has any detailed information about this particular watch, I would appreciate it. I remember reading something about 500 being made...but I don't think this was for the 063.

I found a website that claims only 1500 pieces were produced for the C series in 2000. Another website said 2001.

I believe that the accurate count is that 1500 were made...

It was production year 2000-2001, kind of like a fiscal year or an academic year. So, yes, they made 1500 between Summer 2000 and Spring 2001.
