Man oh man I’m possibly the biggest sucker when it comes to anything Rolex 5 digit.. there’s nothing better in my opinion, they just have a sense of class and elegance that the newer models lack! It’s like looking at a notchback mustang then looking at a s195 to me I like the older stuff they tell a better story and they age like fine wine!

Just wanted to share my latest accomplishment, I’ve done a few of these in the past but this one takes the cake..

Don’t mind the crystal mag it was all I had laying around, better AM crystal going on tonight.
Just refinished and boyyy does this thing look killer

Think the 5 digit DJ just oozes class and the 5 digit sub is just the epitome of daily wearer do anything and everything hard wearing watch IMO!

I have a gen 16233 & a franken 16233 same thing gen everything except for a vr3135 in it. White Roman dial

Couldn’t agree more though! I wear my 5 digits like a damn G shock my OCD keeps them in check but just such a fantastic watch.

I love 5-digit Rolexes too! I currently have a ARF 16610LV, ARF 16610LN, BP 16600, and a gen 16710 Coke. I basically got my hands on the best 5-digit reps there is except for TC's. I wish ARF or Clean makes more 5-digit Rolexes, but I guess due to its low popularity, it will remain a pipe dream .

How can you make sure that the gen parts you source are really genuine? As you know there are too many high quality fake Rolex watch parts in the wild. I wish to build one myself, but I am hesitant to just go blindly with eBay sellers' positive ratings and purchase parts...

Already fixed haha I didn’t have anymore crystals laying around for the datejust models. So threw on whatever I had just to put it on the wrist.

I swear it’s like music to my ears especially when the bracelet isn’t completely worn out, although I rebuild these older bracelets a tight 5 digit jubilee is like getting a old car brand new in 2022 I love it.

I hear you! 5 digits are genuinely my favorite models the only 6 digit models I keep in rotation are my 116520 & 116234 by ARF. Both heavily frankened, as for telling parts I’ve had just about every gen part you can imagine, I have yet to see a rep part that can pass as gen. I’ve built, taken apart probably 100s of reps most genuine parts you can tell just by the engravings, color, thickness, stampings etc. rep parts aren’t there yet, however one day they might be!
