Hi guys,

I currently have several nice IWC and Omegas, plus a 005. I'm thinking about getting a 346 because I want something that looks noticeably different from the 005 and also has a date. And ideally something else notable, such as blue or gold hands, along with being very accurate and have a movement I don't need to be overly concerned about. The 346 seems like it might fit the bill, but how do you guys like the date/cyclops? I like a date function, but I had a 089 a long time ago and hated that you had to view the date from a very specific angle for it to not look terrible (not to mention the awful date fonts back then). Are the new watches any better? It's sometimes hard to tell from photos. Also, I'd be willing to consider other watches that might fit the criteria above, but I'm not a fan of the large diving Pam styles like the 382.

Thanks for the help!

How is the 388 different then the 346 in terms of size?
as far as I know the only difference between the two are in terms of appearance (polished case vs brushed, gold hands vs silver, etc.).
if you're looking for gold or blue hands in a rad you can also consider 424/425 or a dsn232. But none of these have date complication.

Sorry, you beat me before I could edit my post - I meant 382, not 388. And I love the 424, but it's my understanding that there's not a good rep of it yet.

I love my 346. One of the best looking PAM's out there. My everyday wearer. Dependability seem great so far.

PAM 346 KW is one of the best and nicest reps at this moment. Very gen-like appearance
The movement is nice and works well
Cyclops is good enough to see perfectly the date

I would add, possibly the most elegant PAM, you can't go wrong with it :)

I was looking at the 448 - it's a beautiful watch if you like the California dial (I do) but it's so large and I'm not sure I could pull it off. But also, I read a bit about the movement and am a little concerned about the canon pinion / hands and the way they accomplished a flush look. I'm sure most are fine, but it's one if those things that will be nearly impossible to fix if it ever breaks or the hands get damaged or something. I wish they would have just made a longer CP for those thick dial watches.

Thats the one thing I wish was just a little better on the 346 - the canon pinion isn't quite flush.
