Well, I'll save the story of this piece for a little later and just get to the pics. Enjoy.

It looks so sweet. I like your ammo strap more though.

I'm glad to see you get to enjoy your own work. You know, unlike the plumber who is so busy working on everyone else's homes, that he has the worst plumbing in the neighborhood. Nice Job, as usual!

That is really nice, I wish I could fit one of those to mine but unforunately it has fixed lugs so would have to be stiched in :(

I keep meaning to pick up a bit of leather and have a go at it, I just know that I could go through half a cow and never even get close to that.

You have skills, sir.

Thanks for the compliments guys and gals. This watch is really growing on me. I have a small wrist (as if you couldn't tell by that wrist shot!) and this case sits really well and very comfortably. I'm glad I opted for the 45mm version rather than the 47 because I'm pretty sure I couldn't go any bigger with this style case.

Usually I'm not a big fan of super thick straps (for myself). But, this strap, which is about 6mm, wears surprisingly comfortably. And, I think it looks really nice with this vintage style watch.

There was a thread a while back about where you like your buckle to "hit" on your wrist. As you can tell, I'm in the camp that likes it around to the side and not on the middle of the underside of the wrist. I think that this way of wearing it is especially comfortable when using flat, sewn-in buckles as it seems to get the buckle out of the way and avoids "snags" on various things.

Regarding the comment about me wearing my own straps. Sadly, I have exactly two straps that I've made for myself! I'm trying hard to set aside some time to make a few more so that I'll have some additional choices, but as of now I have this one which is 26/26 and the original strap that I made that's 24/24. That's it!!!

Anyway, thanks again for looking.

Best regards,

Savage

Hi Savage,

Is that the Retrospect 1938a? thx

It's the davidsen rep of the Retrospect! But, totally unbranded; smooth generic caseback and smooth generic crown. Swiss under the hood.
