buying a gen in parts, win or fail?

hi i saw this watch that i wanted http://www.uretvintage.se/omega-seamaster-pv-19165.html and i found out that ofrei sell this case for 820$ and the 1120 movement for 420$ and i already got a used dial and hand set are not so expensive so only thing that missing is bracelet and this is like around 1300$ for a brand new or this 14 year old one for 1800$

also found out they sell case, movement, and more to build the seamaster chrono 300m but that like 2000$ minimum with dial and hands also

what do you guys think? i cant afford to buy such watch with only cash but if i buy 1 piece a months or so i can afford it

Am I missing something here? You can get a pre-owned gen for like 1,200 us.
