Buyer being a scammer

IMG_3782.jpg I sold a seiko fff on eBay recently. I bought it on eBay for $265 USD. I sold it for $212. Wire about 4 times maybe. Mint. Buyer messages me asking to return or exchange for my blackface seiko fff because he claims the watch is purple. Here is our exchange. I offer him an exchange but won't give him the $60 (yes $60) dollar refund plus the seiko black face fff for the blue one. Then he wants one my Ulysses Nardins for sale but wants a discount on the watch and trade value magically of 250 on the current blue seiko. I said no but if her send it back I'll give a refund despite the listing clearly stating no refund. He's just have to pay return. Next day he files a dispute and claims the watch is purple and doesn't match pictures. Second bs I've had wth buyers having remorse and wanting their money back. Both times with no reason or because they didn't look at any picture past the first one.

I added this SS to the dispute. Any chance eBay will still rule against me?

I"m not an expert in PP disputes, but I can't see how they could rule against you if you offered a refund minus return shipping. I feel for you, especially with the whole v5 v6s fiasco on RWG and my own buddy chrislando/oohhelllo. Best of luck!

How was payment sent? I thought that PP was where most of the disputes occurred? What were the original terms of the sale?

Filed return through eBay. If purchased on eBay you have to dispute on eBay. eBay owns pp.

Well, if it was stated no returns, and you did still offer a return, how could they rule against you? With a few exceptions, return shipping is usually on the buyer to cover. From the discussion above, I see it was mentioned that the dial displayed a different tone depending on angle. Shows how many buyers are complete idiots out there. Don't read, look, ask questions or research and then want others to pay for their stupidity. Was his username Oohheelllo? LOL. I feel for you!

As long as your pics included the "purple" ness of the dial and your sale stated no returns, you should have no problems with eBay. I know they're a little more biased towards the buyer (most companies are) but you have a solid case as long as you have documentation of everything.

Yeah that's pretty solid. Just collect the most important and relevant pics and write up your argument against the dispute. Then put them all into one pdf and send it to eBay when/if they request documents. Worked for me

Honestly that's the reason why I stopped selling on eBay anymore, shady people trying to get tiny advantage on anything they can with all kinds of BS reasons.

eBay do have a tendency to rule favourably to the buyer, so do be sure to have all the evidence you can, and good luck to you

If he gives you a negative feedback or neutral you can go to ebay and have them remove it. Especially if you have 100% positive now. I quit selling on ebay. I've had people brake an item and take pics saying it arrived that way.
