Good afternoon,
came across this weird looking Bulova and I just can't get over how it looks.
What happened to the "B" in Bulova, why is it bigger than the other letters? It's also not printed like on every other Super Seville I saw but it's applied.
Also the Day Window is positoned on the right spot, while on every other real SS window cut out was a little bit higher like on a Tudor Prince.
I also never saw this Dial on a Bulova Super Sevillle Automatic, thogh I saw this Dial on a SS Quartz, also with the Day window at the same spot.
I couldn't get a better look at the caseback yet, but asked for detailed photos. Their should be a Letter and Number combination that indicates the Year it was manufactured, also a serial number.
It's a 36mm case and the day window sits on the right spot - apparently if we trust what is written on the dial "swiss made" so an ETA 2836+2? And I saw Bulova SS's with 2836 on the Internet - they still had more of the dial proportions of a Tudor with the day windows slightly higher.
What do you think? Is this a weird fake? It doesn't looks bad though... Gold tone seems good too!
I can't find any other Bulova which would look like this. Also the marking "Automatic Day-Date" at 6 I never saw. The chapter ring got roman numerals but it's only minute indices while the typical double chapterring line of a Rolex 18038 is missing. The caseback looks kinda flat. All the cases I saw so far had deeper engraving of the bulova logo.
