Hello!

If we talk about getting the whole caseset, then I would choose the old noob 000, P series.

The old noob005 N series will do the same.

But then, you need to make sure that the dial and hands you received correspond to this series (pre-v hands, and "swiss made" dial)

Thanks, that's what I am thinking too but great to have you back it up. Now - do you have one :D

OLd Noob caseets are hard to come by. The current XF zero if available, is a very good choice and being a P or Q series case back it requires Pre V hands

Thanks :D I will check what hands I have but it could be irrelevant if I can't the case as I can't get a TD to advise if the current XF is still available and so far no one has been forthcoming with a Noob case they no longer need . Calling all the old school Pam collectors - please help me put together an awesome 000 and you will be doing the broader forum a favour as well

No, I have no noob parts.

For 005/000 I only have a caseback, but it's HF, and definitely not the "best" one.

But you can refer to for example Hazing, he tried to implement one project with 000, and As far as I remember, his assembly definitely has a good caseback from noob, which is better than the HF that I have, or any XF.
Even with a good caseback, you are no longer limited to 000/005 cases, but you can search for any 6834 noob case, such as from 390, and other models, or maybe even just 111 v4 or 5.

Yes, I started from the title "best" because I suggested to find what in my opinion is the best.
So yes, you can buy any XF 005 or 000, and rearrange all the GENs that you find, it will be simple and fast.

It's a matter of taste, but these models are so good at rep quality that I would only spend money on gen parts if the build ends up being a combination of the best, enough to wake up one day, and generally forget that it was a rep. lol.

Yes, noob parts are not common, because they are used for assemblies. How can a noob's case be freed? If someone replaced it with gen? Therefore, if I were you, I would be ready to just buy the whole donor watch.

I have a number of spare parts and have an empty noob case set, unfortunately it’s a pvd case.

you’re best off putting a wtb for a full watch up, probably easier to get than spare parts.

Already asked Hazing about his caseback :D I also have a Noob v4 case in another watch which I can sacrifice if absolutely necessary but it would stuff up the 113 with a gen dial so not too keen to do that

Very happy to get a complete donor watch - actually thinking the original Noob 390 would be the best case option if I can get a Noob N or P series 000 caseback

I managed to find a new XF and an ETA HH3 cannon pinion . Since the sunken CP and the dial are the main issues to address with the XF, I am pretty much all set to start building when the watch arrives :D
