I'm curious to see if BTF can get the white-gold tone right. Unfortunately, clean factory is also wrong on this. The GEN WG tone is warmer, slightly yellowish.

What are you trying to anticipate happening though? The WG models for reps is literally just SS....it's never been right lol.

Because WG plating doesn't exist. The WG you see from Rolex is a cast alloy WG they created. What you might be thinking of is rhodium plating which looks nothing like Rolex WG.

False. There are modders and watchsmiths here such as Nikz that plate cases and fluted bezels white gold.

I have a gen white gold daytona, it has a yellowish hue. Reps will never match it, it's ok you guys want gen, then buy it. Or pay someone to make you a custom solid gold case.

I can plate it in White bronze and call it WG plating. I can plate in palladium and call it WG plating. I can plate it in electroless nickel and call it WG plating.

Rolex WG is what some consider "grey gold" Reflects light in the low 60% . When you use rhodium it's like 85% light reflectivity. It looks like chrome really.

You can polish the yellow hue you see out if it bothers you. It's from tiny scratches. That's why you may see it more on the buckle where the desk dives happen of the watch. Personally I like it and wouldn't.
