Brushing rolex bracelet

Hi guys, I recently tried to brush my TC 93250 bracelet but managed to totally screw it up. I started with a 200 grit and then moved on to a 400 but it looks awful. It "glitters" in the sun and loks way off. Any tips to get it nice again or should I just get a new one?

I haven't done it on the TC bracelet. I did try to brush out the shinny mid links on other watches.
I used Scotch Brite (green) pads and brush in a single direction only (not up and down or backwards and forwards).
Here's what it looks like before and after.

200 and 400 is better for softening but is too rough for brushing

Try using 800 and above instead.

Then finish with jewellers polishing cloth (eg "sunshine polishing cloth, available http://www.rosaryworkshop.com/PC_23-SUPPLIES-wire-crimps-cutters.html). It gives it a gen like satin finish.

I and others have used the Garyflex blocks with success
You can get them on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Garryson-Ga...UTF8&qid=1439904993&sr=8-2&keywords=garryflex

You need a medium and a fine for finishing, they can be cut for a handy shape when working the bracelet, one direction only and ensure straight lines

For best results I use only a dremel, and a cotton brush tool with brush cream for the glossy parts, and for the outside of the bracelet I use a brush tool for a detailed abrasive for a light sanding effect. The rotation of the dremel is a great advantage over doing it manually..of course if you do it wrong you can damage the metal of the watches but it's pretty difficult...

We are talking bracelet here right? Well here is a good tip. Remove your oyster bracelet from the watch head. Ok, now separate the bracelet into two parts. So now you have a 'two strip' bracelet. Get a butchers block or piece of wood. A one foot 2x4 is ok. Now get 2 good paper clips and straighten them out. Now run them into the end links of your bracelets. One on each. The ends of the paper clips are now fastened to a screw or nail on the wood board. Tug or pull tight on the other end of the bracelet while it is flat on the board. Good. Now with green scothbrite, pull down on the scotchbrite in one direction only. Flat up against the bracelet. Hard strokes first. Then smooth strokes with less pressure towards the last strokes. Bam, there, factory new brushed finish !! If it is your wifes favorite cutting board, you might have some explaining to do later. Good luck !!

Thanks buddy [MENTION=62122]SUMIKITO[/MENTION], I tried going from 400, 600, 800 grit but not happy with the result so I shipped it to SSTEEL so he can work his magic on it (and throw in a gen ETA at the same time).
