Hey guys, am finally looking at getting a Pam after much looking through the forum,

just a quick question, is there a a version similar to the 111n with brushed case? I know there's the 177 but ideally I don't want titanium.

If I WAS to get the 177, what's the overall quality compared to the standards of the 111?

Thanks guys!

Gordon

The quality will be almost the same, but the Titanium gets scratches much more easily. Just that
There is no brushed version of PAM 111 , maybe the more similar is PAM 299 with brushed case and polished bezel but it has bracelet (you can put a satrap)and it is automatic
with date

Thanks for the quick reply!

ok, thanks for the help. Have you seen anyone do a "brushed" conversion of the case set for the 111?

Brushing cases is more delicate and difficult as people think
More complicated that polishing
You will ruin the watch

You could go to a Luminor 1950 brushed case tipe PAM 127 Noob, PAM 312 from KW. Both awesome

If you insist on a brushed case which is not an actual model I'd recommend a nice homage rather than modify a replica.

The 312 is beautiful. I think that's the one for me! I never looked at the automatics as I thought it would be a lot thicker than the manuals, however the difference is only 1.5mm, so not enough to worry about!

The 312 is a beautiful watch! The KW is the one to get then? Not the Zfac? I read about the lume being abit sub-par on the kW 312, has this been fixed?

Thanks for all the help!

I can see that KW PAm 312 is almost perfect in finish and gen-like apperance. Leaving aside movement it is very difficult to tell this replica.
I have not seen ZFac but by the comments of owners I doubt it is better than KW and less as consistent in quality between units.

Regarding lume, I think is a bit of luck and there is not consistent, mine is very good, but I know some owners are complaining about this matter.
Anyway you could try a relume, very easy in sandwich dials

Ale is right on with this…I tried to brush finish the top of a beat up Seiko diver case, and kept messing it up
so bad I wound up just polishing the whole case, which is much easier.

I sold my 312 for the very reason of wearing thicker than I preferred. Great looking watch but in the end the thickness on my girlie wrist bugged me too much

i must say I'm used to around 16mm (omega PO, Ulysse Nardin MM etc) so the extra 2.5mm may annoy me, but I have no way of knowing until I try a thicker watch. My wrists are a "skinny" 6.75inch.

My wrists are an emaciated 6.25 inch in comparison and the PAM312 did not feel out of place.
