It took a while to decide what to put on my Bronzo but I finally settled on a custom strap from Peter Gunny and a huge chunk of bronze in the shape of a buckle from Maddog Straps. The Gunny is of course perfect and man the MD buckle is massive! This thing is 5mm thick, a perfect match for the 6mm thick strap from Peter. I could not be more pleased with the way this pair complement the watch. I had Peter supply the strap unpunched as with a watch this heavy on my 6.5" wrist the hole needed to be just right.
As it turned out I cut more of a slot than a hole so the buckle sits as flat as possible on the strap. Who says 47mm is too big on skinny wrists? Now on to the pics . . .
Sorry for this one, the light here ATM is shite and my photo lights need new bulbs but you get the idea.
Now this is a chunky buckle!
The patina is starting to come in nicely on the Bronzo with a touch of green beginning to appear while the buckle still has a way to go.
Gunny was kind enough to personalise the strap for me.
All in all I couldn't be happier, thanks Gunny and Maddog!
