People of RWI,

I am sad to announce that my beloved Timewalker Chrono met face to face with the concrete floor.

The movement does not seem to wind anymore, and the subdials rings seem to have fallen. All the hands seem to be in tact though, and apart from the ceramic ring and the crystal, no other damage is apparent.

Do you guys think that it is worth to source a crystal and a ceramic bezel and get a good watchsmith to service the movement and get it fixed. Also do you have any recommendations where I can find spare parts and find a good watchsmith? I am based in the UK but can ship to anywhere in EU.

Thanks in advance.

PS PMed Toro (who I purchased this beauty from), but he can't find parts for it.

Here is the result of the 1 meter drop:

Noob Fac doesn't seem to be making these Timewalkers anymore so I really doubt you'd be able to find a replacement ceramic bezel.

I almost had a coronary when I saw those photos. [emoji33] I rank the 7753 ceramic timewalker among my Top 5 reps. As said already, these are very rare if not impossible to source now and I doubt this damage can be fixed, unfortunately. Keep a lookout in m2m. You just never know. I feel for you, man.

U can get the replacement Crystal fairly cheap. The subdial ring just need to put in place. Maybe a little jewelry glue or uv glue to glue them back.

Thanks for the replies guys. It is painful indeed, it was by far my favourite watch and had a true 'gen like' feel. Would our TDs be the best source for spares? Also do you think that it would be a good idea to get the steel bezel instead, and get a non ceramic bracelet or a leather one.

I was also wondering if it would make sense to make this a DIY project. Instead of paying for the repair, I could buy the tools needed and give it a go myself. How hard would you rate the procedure and do you think it is a good investment in tools?

Any update on this? Have you fixed it? Attempted to?

If you're giving up on this please consider sending it my way. I'd buy it off you and attempt the repairs myself!

Hey guys, resurrecting the post. I managed to bugger up the watch trying to open it up, so I will probably sell the spare parts. On that note, I managed to find a ceramic one in the wild, but my concerns are that it is not a 7753 Noob version (date is sunken and no metal rings around subdials). Can anyone more knowledgeable confirm what version this is :

Here is my old one for reference:

If the date changes when you push the recessed button located at 10 o'clock, then it definitely is an A7753 movement. As for being a Noob's or any other factory's product, the "30M" and the serial number on the caseback cover suggest your watch is not the best version available, on which we should read "30m" and a serial number different than PJ121212.

Would you please post some pictures of your broken watch at its current condition? I am looking for a donor watch and it could be yours! Or else, you can build a mashup of your two watches using the best parts of each.

If you are interested, there is a lot to be learned from this thread.

Thanks AstroAvia, I am turning this down, especially as the TD advertised it as the A7753 Noob version... I checked the thread, and old pictures, and it was evident that this was a terrible version of the thing.

I will post pictures of the old one later on today for you to see if you like it.
