Broken spring/damaged threading? Unable to screw in crown!

Fellow RWI members,

I have a Noob 116520 Daytona with the SA4130 movement. I was never happy how the winding experience felt and crown screwing/unscrewing was gritty and didn't feel good. So I decided to go gen crown and tube and sent if off to a local watchmaker for installation

I got the watch back and the crown and screwing feels good. However, something broke :(. It's no longer possible to screw in the crown and the crown will just remain in a unscrewed position. I'm not if I understood the watchmaker correctly, but some spring broke or some thread was damaged?

Please see the following pictures of old Noob crown - you can even see the debris lol.

Can someone explain why I can't screw in the crown no more?
Is this repairable?
What part needs to be ordered?

EDIT: Forget to add photo of currently installed (gen) tube and crown:

Why don't you take it back to the watchmaker? All I can think of is that the stem is too long or the keyless works got screwed up. But the watchmaker ought to be able to get it straightened out.

If the crown screwed down on the tube before, and now it won't, then the only thing it can be is the threads - there is nothing else holding the crown on the tube other than the threads.

I don't know why you posted pics of the old crown/tube, but if that is how your 'watchmaker' removes a crown and tube from a watch case then you really need to find someone who knows how to work correctly - he's literally ripped the crown out of the case - whilst it's still screwed down on the tube (the tube that is screwed is screwed into the case), the pliers marks are clearly visible on the sides of the crown.

And if the threads have stripped on a gen tube, then he's probably responsible for that too. There don't appear to be any threads visible at the base and it looks like the gasket at the base of the tube has a split in it.

Who the hell did you send this too ?

The old Noob crown did screw in the tube before installation, but it was very stiff and some pressure was needed.

In retrospect, I should have sent the watch + gen parts (it was new and blistered crown and tube!) to a good, well known RWI watchmaker instead. I went to the local guy because, well, he was local and I was tired of shipping abroad once I need something to get fixed. But yes, lesson learned.

He said that the threading was wrong on the crown or tube (can't remember exact wording) and he said I should contact the company I bought the parts from for refund or whatever. I guess they don't want to admit they wasn't up to the task?

It's really difficult to capture the details with a crappy phone camera but I did a comparison of a Noob tube and crown (from another watch) vs another picture of the gen tube and crown and does seem like the threading is damaged.

Gen tube looks completely shot, maybe the inside of the gen crown is still salvageable?

I have no idea...

I will need to ship it off to someone who really knows what he's doing to find it out :(

Wow... That is absoutely terrible. I am thinking that your local guy used pliers and threaded the tube in by gripping the tube on the exterior, completely mangling up the threads instead of using the proper star wrench to thread the tube in.

Ask him for a refund, he's used a set of pliers to grip the tube to screw it into the case, thereby stripping the tube of all it's threads. He's a complete idiot.
